Muscle Testing

Muscle testing allows us to identify which muscles are shut down or inhibited and which muscles are overworked or facilitated.

When an injury occurs, certain muscles shut down or become inhibited, forcing the other muscles to become overworked, or facilitated. This compensation pattern can cause pain and/or tightness in other areas of the body. Over time compensation patterns can lead to chronic pain and joint damage.

Muscle testing allows us to identify which muscles are shut down or inhibited and which muscles are overworked or facilitated. Then, we can help activate the inhibited muscles and release the facilitated muscles to restore balance to both the muscles and the nervous system.
